Bowling Buddies trick 4: How to get the spare saver awarded?

Bowling Buddies trick 4: How to get the spare saver awarded?

Spare Saver achievement by KC

Spare Saver

How I've gotten my spare award.

1. Resize your browser to about half screen, quite similar to how you achieve the strike tactic.

2. Use a wheel mouse. (My throw is not straight when I use other type of mouse.)

3. There are 3 white spots on the bowling ball itself (look carefully, can only be found on the default blue ball). This is the one that I use for aiming. I purposely aim it slightly off the middle line, so I could end up with about 1 - 3 pins on the left side after the first throw. Then spare the last 1 - 3 pins.

Mouse that I use X7 Gaming Mouse.

  3. @The Dark Lord

This is the first time I'm receiving such a request. :) I'm going to say no to such request, because it's not going to be fair to the rest at all. Further, to it i have full time work. I only work on this blog in my free time. Sorry.

  4. Stella here, from the tips on betting. i've tried your methods on slightly off the middle line, but i got a strike instead, and its not only that, the speed of the bowling ball also affects weather only 1-3pins left on one side to get a spare. i've tried both laser and wheel mouse, the laser one suits me better. any more ways to help me have better scoring of spare for the whole game?

Hi Stella, welcome back... try to position a little further off your current location. You may have to adjust a little to find your sweet spot. I notice how we re-size our screen may affect the position. I need to offset a little as well when I'm playing at times. Use the concept, don't follow my exact spot in the screen shot.

Concept is to clear 1 side of the lane leaving least or an amount of pins you are confident in clearing. Not all of my game are left with 2 pins for 2nd throw, i had three. But I don't want any split (Dracula Fangs, or Goal Post :) whatever you want to call it)Because I can only hit 1 pin.

  6. Stella here, i've finally gotten the spare saver award but i seem to have problems with their system or i don't know why but it will hang while i am bowling, so its like the bowling ball is floating in midair and i cant move my mouse, because if i move my mouse it would change the direction of the bowling ball. And i also faced another problem, i aim and bowl using the middle but somehow, i duno how, it became on the last lane and the bowling ball hop, yes it hopped into the gutter at the last lane when it was suppose to be in the middle line there.

  7. Do you have any idea how to do it on a laptop?

  8. @ Stella, When i read you latest comment, I was actually laughing out loud. Sorry, couldn't help it cos it reminded me of a real life case where I had a friend who did "bowl" into another lane. Girl, I don't know what to comment. Gee you may have to replay that again.

I have seen the ball floating in midair problem that you mentioned. Seen that a few times, I had trouble with my game when it happens. Normally, I"ll just reopen another instance of the game. But hopping into another lane in BB, that's the first for me.

@Anon 17 Dec, I did my screen shot from a laptop, unless you are referring to throwing the ball using the notebook mouse pad, I hope it's not the small little red button like those found on think pad. I never use those, gives me finger cramp. Not sure if you have seen this post about "throwing the ball with laptop mouse pad"

  9. How to use the wheel mouse correctly. We have a good one and the mouse is set up to scroll whole page (as mentioned of you). But we can not get the screen on ½size (do you may use ctrl buttom! and wheel mouse?). Next thing is to use the wheel mouse when picking up the bowl. How to slip the wheel?

  10. @ anon, qns, do you know how to resize an application like "Word, Excel..." window's size? It the same that you would do for Internet Explorer/Firefox. It's got nothing to do with the "ctrl button". On your last question, 1. Aim, 2. "roll the mouse wheel forward" My mouse does not move. only my mouse wheel does. (the white wheel, check out the post on Gaming
    Mouse
, I had a picture of my mouse there.)

  13. got it! Thanks a lot! :) I actually used your tip for the first ball but then I used the shadow to line up the second ball so as to be really sure it went the right way :) I also used the tip about scrolling a page, works wonders on a laptop :) (using only the integrated touchpad-mouse)
Now it's only perfect game (and 25 challenges) left, but I've got a good tip for that too :) I'm so happy someone does the work for us ;)
